Senior Activities to Chose From

We offer a variety of daily recreational activities that residents may choose to participate in. The various activities scheduled throughout the day incorporate cognitive stimulation, social engagement, wellness, fitness, and relaxation. Residents have the capability of moving around freely and to engage in activities that they enjoy and stimulate their minds. See resident accommodations here.

We utilize our outdoor space nestled within the valley to create a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Our outdoor space also incorporates a garden that resident's may grow and pick items to their liking. Families also have the capability of spending time with their loved ones in our relaxing outdoor environment and continue to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Daily Routine

Residents of Valley Comfort Care Home in Honolulu enjoy a daily schedule that helps keep things consistent and manageable for them. This kind of regularity aids in their well being and happiness. Our daily routine is as follows:
• 7:30am - Breakfast | 9:00am - 30 minutes exercise | 10:00am - Outdoor time/Gardening | 10:30am - Snack time | 11:30am - Lunch | 2:00pm - Activities (Activity schedule changes, but includes outings to various locations on Oahu.) | 3:00pm - Snack time | 5:00pm - Dinner Time | 7:00pm - Get ready for bed.

What kind of activities are there for residents to enjoy?
A - Our residents enjoy a myriad of different activities to not only stimulate their minds and keep them engaged, but also to keep up their activity levels. Aside from their almost daily enjoyment of arts & crafts, our residents enjoy outdoor time in the gardening area & rec space. We also sometimes have musical guests visit to provide an uplifting experience for them. Additionally, our residents have enjoyed trips to the park and beach, visits to the aquarium and shopping centers, and also enjoy plenty of special activities during the holidays. The residents at Valley Comfort Care Home have become like their own little Ohana, and enjoy interacting and socializing with each other, as well as our honorary pet dog, "Moose". Are family members able to participate?
A - We encourage family visits! Residents love to see their family members and interact with them at VCCH, and as long as there's no conflict of scheduling, we love to accommodate family visits. We simply ask that family members coordinate with us to schedule visits to be as efficient as possible and respectful of others.

Is there always staff present during activities?
A - Yes. A staff member is always present with residents when they go outside or leave the care home on an excursion. Our staff has been trained to anticipate and meet the needs of our residents when they are outside of the home, and we are fully prepared for all needs that they have. Our care team is amazing, and your a staff member is never more than a few feet away.
